For finicky jack mackerel, a dart action is particularly effective. This lure utilizes a crisp, sudden dart that triggers the fish’s predatory response, driving them wild before transitioning into a ”feeding-stay” posture that leads to a bite.

The recommended technique mirrors that used with a wind retrieve: create a slight slack in the line and then flick the rod to set the action in motion. During the feeding-stay phase, it’s best to maintain a neutral line state—keeping the tension neither too tight nor too loose.

The lure’s tail features an innovative fish-tail design. During the dart action, the tail fin flutters, mimicking an escaping bait fish. Moreover, the upper portion of the tail is widened so that even during the descent (the fall phase), the tail continues to sway enticingly.
